Cape Collective SEEBOEI Sauvignon Blanc 2019
13,00 € / 750 ml
Sauvignon Blanc is one of the best white wines in South Africa.
The geographical location, just a few kilometres from the cool Atlantic Ocean, offers the most ideal temperature zone in the Cape. Added to this is the heavy slate clay soil so typical of the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, which lends an inviting tropical note to the flavour profile of this vintage.
The grapes are harvested over a three week period to take advantage of the full ripening spectrum of Sauvignon Blanc and are crushed as soon as they come out of the vineyards. After pressing and clarification through cold settling, the juice is fermented with a combination of yeast strains to further enhance the diversity of flavors. The contribution of Semillon has been increased to 14%, which will smooth out the edges and have a positive impact on the wine's ability to age.
This classic white wine pairs perfectly with game and a South African chakalaka curry bread, salads, grilled fresh fish or whenever a refreshing palate is needed.
